2/4/13 Meeting

Treasurer's report
Santa's Villiage went well, the teachers gave positive feedback, parents were mostly positive but we did receive some negative feedback also.
Fundraisers - spring possibilities include: pies, candy, pizza hut, flower bulbs.  Pie and flower bulbs were decided on.  Pie sale in Spring will be similar to Fall, with some slight changes.  Flower sale will be in April.
Market Day - pickup is 2/14 and volunteers are needed
Coupon Books - sell at remaining volleyball games, we may just keep the coupon books for next year or find another organization who may want to buy them.
May Fun Night - Tracey will contact Mrs. Hoge to see if PTO needs to sponsor anything
Easter Egg Hunt - March 28th, Tracey will check with Mrs. Hoge to see if she is helping this year or if PTO should run it, Shauna will take over if needed, PTO will need the contact info for the bunny suit
New business - Shauna and Bonnie are attending a PTO expo on 2/26, Mrs. Malahy announced the School Report Card has changed and is more user friendly.  She urged everyone to complete the parent survey, the results will help point out concerns and strong points of the school and will be posted on the website.

11/19/12 Meeting
Officers and Members present:  Tracey Daugherty, Leslie Smith, Gwen Vincent, Danell Mertes, Shauna Breckenridge, Bonnie Lawless
Spirit Wear - 100 items were sold and the order will be ready on Tuesday or Wednesday.  The order will be open a little while for reorders, forms are in the office
Santa's Village - letters will be sent to parents to remind them to send money, a note asking for volunteers will also be sent
Fundraisers - Jeanne Maggio suggested Hyvee coupon books, PTO could sell them at games and the winter program
Winter program - Santa is lined up, just need to verify times
Market Day - delivery is 12/6, help is always needed
Coke Rewards - Dave will save them for us
Summer Fest is the 3rd week in July and we were asked to sponsor a booth/activity, we need to come up with ideas
No meetings in December or January

10/15/12 Meeting
Officers and Members present:  Tracey Daugherty, Leslie Smith, Gwen Vincent, Kelly Weisbrock, Danell Mertes, Mrs. Malahy, Niki Rauba, Shauna Breckenridge, Sherry Kreiser, Jeanne Maggio, Bonnie Lawless
Treasurer's Report - checking and savings balances, payment is owed to the school for BrainPOP and Spelling City
Box Tops - already raised 1/4 of what was raised last year, class treats and $5 gift cards will be purchased as and incentive for the winning class and students, ideas were considered for incentives for class participation
Spiritwear - Order form is not complete yet, Mrs. Malahy, Tracey and Niki will work together to get the order forms out, forms will be due 10/31 and Spiritwear should be in by Thanksgiving
Santa's villiage - details on running Santa's Villiage were discussed, it will be scheduled the week of 11/27 and will be open at Open House, teachers will sign up for a time to bring the students, anyone willing to help should let Shauna know.
Fundraisers - many options were discussed, Pizza Hut was decided on for the restaurant fundraiser, a possible flower bulb sale was tabled for the spring
Winter program - Leslie will talk to Dave about Santa and will get the appreciation gift card, candy bars will be bought from the school, Tracey will set up and decorate the chair. Leslie will also talk to Dave about saving Coke rewards for us

Treasurer's report - PTO owes the school $3000 for iPads
Pie Sale - incentives were discussed, we will hold a pie toss and need to ask for teacher volunteers
Book Fair - the teachers are taking over the book fair, any outstanding orders need to be taken care of
Brain POP - $300 will be donated for use by grades K-8
Fundraisers - Shauna is looking into a restaurant fundraiser, possible raffle, Santa's Workshop, Family Fun Night
Supply Drive - will be put on hold until a need is expressed for supplies
Spirit Wear - Mautino's will supply samples, Tracey will send out an email with possibilities
Box Tops - incentives were discussed to get more involvement
Field Day shirts - Teachers were encouraged to get donations from local businesses, PTO will discuss a donation if support is needed
Class trips - PTO will pay up to $30 per student for 8th grade trip if needed, Jeanne will go to the school board to request approval for the trip.  All other classes will receive up to $10 per student toward class trips.
